The noise generated by refrigerators has, in its composition, several different sources. These sources act in a superimposed way and predominate in their respective frequency bands in the noise spectrum. The superposition of the contribution of the sources results in the final noise of the refrigerator. Among the main sources of noise can be mentioned the low frequency vibrations from the mechanical movement of gas compression and the gas pulsation. It also stands out for the vibrations generated by the pulsation in the discharge tube and in the suction tube, as well as the two-phase flow in the evaporator, and the direct radiation of the compressor housing. In this way, data about the vibroacoustic behavior of the compressor can be used to estimate the global noise of a refrigerator still in the compressor approval stage, which implies a reduction in testing time and a reduction in the cost of shipping logistics. samples of these compressors. This article aims to determine the vibroacoustic characteristics necessary to estimate the noise of a refrigerator with a compressor coupled to the refrigeration system. A sequence of tests were carried out using compressors of different models coupled to the refrigerator in order to determine the transfer functions between the sound pressure radiated by the refrigerator and the acceleration signals obtained at the compressor connection points. Such results were satisfactory after the use of uncorrelated vibroacoustic signals.
