As cities grow, public transportation systems play a fundamental role in urban mobility. Built structures commonly present noise-related problems. Areas such as bus stop, which are part of the structures of public transport systems, are spaces used daily by the population. The research aims to evaluate the environmental impact of vehicle traffic noise on users in bus lanes. Thus, measurements of sound levels in bus corridors, vehicle counting, and the elaboration of noise maps will be performed using the IMMI 2020 Software (Wölfel-Gruppe). The study was applied in two sections in the city of Maringá-Brazil. The sections evaluated are part of the municipal bus corridors, which have a road with six lanes, two of which are exclusive for buses. For the study, it evaluated users in different positions. Subsequently, evaluation models were applied to compare the results with the current regulations, then the t-Student test to estimate the sound levels and similarity with the data measured in loco. The results obtained showed that the design of the bus stop influences the exposure to users and that these levels are higher than the limits established by NBR 10.151:2021, reaching levels higher than 79 dB. It concluded with the research that users of public transport systems are exposed to sound levels that are harmful to health. That said, it would require measures to mitigate the intensity of sound levels.
